Winter Training Plan 2008

Kwik Cricket

Session:           -     Warm-up = 10 – 15 minutes

                        -     Skills = 25 minutes

                        -     Game = 15 – 20 minutes

                        -     Cool-down = 5 minutes

  • Prepared plans for bi-weekly sessions to be distributed to all coaches at least 1 full day before each session.
  • Juniors to arrive at least 5 minutes before scheduled start time.

U13 / U15

Session:           -     These sessions will be taken in the nets.

-         Groups should be split into age groups and if there is enough space  ability, then:-

-         Spare net space may also be used for an U16/ U17 practise depending on numbers.

-         Each player will be set targets to achieve each session (this could be to not get out or take 3 wickets etc).

-         The coaches will record these targets and revise them each session.

Senior

Sessions:           -    Training is compulsory for selection.

                          -    Junior players will move up depending on age and ability.

  - Target setting as with the juniors will be encouraged. However this should be more independent and hopefully more advanced (hopefully!)

We hope to see as many people as possible from each age group turning up to the sessions and enjoying themselves.
