TRAINING
Has recommenced on Mondays and Thursday evenings.

MENS / LADIES SEASON (SENIOR HOCKEY – SATURDAYS)
The leagues commence on Saturday 17^th January 2009 with captains as follows:

Mens A and B – Jon Whiting

Mens Colts – Tim Leeming

Mens D – Colin Hanbidge

Ladies A – TBA

Ladies B – Anne Harrison

Ladies C – Susie Richardson

The captains will probably have already been in touch OR will be in the next day or so. If you haven’t heard from anyone and are interested in playing, please get in touch with me and I will pass you name to one of the captains…. it will just have been an oversight!!

COACH KARL’S CHRISTMAS RAFFLE
I am pleased to advise that a total of Ł714.00 was raised as a result of the hard work of the mixed team captains and the support of our membership. First prize of the TV went to lucky Greg Turner.

There are a number of unclaimed prizes still with me:

YOUNG LEADERS COURSE
Dominic Hobdell is cracking on with organising a young leaders award. The dates he is looking at are over February half term – Thursday 26^th and Friday 27^th February 2009 at the NSC. We have Kim Carney tutoring the course. The young leaders award is 14 hours, covering coaching, umpiring, leading and managing and is aimed at those aged 13-18 years old. It is ideal in preparing people for management roles and those wishing to progress onto coaching and umpiring awards. The cost of the course is normally Ł30 per person, however MSR will be subsidising this by Ł10 per person, so candidates will have Ł20 to pay. The closing date of the course is Monday 26^th January, so creeping up fairly close! LEVEL ONE COACHING COURSE
The course dates are 21st/22^nd February (tutoring) and 1^st March (assessment). All enquiries & applications for the course should be sent directly to Dominic Hobdell. (Dominic.Hobdell@gov.im)

Closing date is strictly Friday 16^th January. Costs Ł50 instead of Ł135.

Taking place at Kensington Road astro pitch: Saturday 21^st February 2009; 2pm – 5pm, Sunday 22^nd February 2009; 9am – 5pm, Sunday 01^st March 2009; 9am – 5pm
