Gymnasium
Association Football Club (“Gymns”) was founded in 1889 and is one
of the oldest clubs in Manx football. It has won the First Division
title 7 times and the FA Cup 10 times.
Gymnasium AFC was founded in 1889 by a group of businessmen who
wanted to keep fit. They met at the old Douglas Gymnasium and
initially played rugby before making the switch to football. Gymns
were one of 8 teams that initially made up the official Manx
Football League. Gymns has a long history in the top flight of Manx
football and has excellent facilities to offer its members
