The Manx Hockey Association Mhelliah   Saturday 21st November 2009 Chesterhouse.Hotel in Douglas.   The fun begins at 7:30 and with the proceeds going to the “MHA Development Fund” we welcome you all to come and take part.   It’s not just produce that is on sale – the second half will see various members of the hockey community putting up their services for sale – well worth raiding the piggy bank.

SEASON 09/10 MEMBERSHIP The start of the hockey season is only 6 or 7 weeks away !!! The 09/10 Membership form is now available in the downloads section of the website.  Please get your form and subs in to Kythe asap.....

UMPIRING COURSE Level 1 Umpiring Course will be on held over 3 evenings in September.Training will be on Mondays 7th and 14th from 7 to 9.30pm and the exam will be on Monday 21st September at 7pm.  Venue will be confirmed at a later stage, but most likely in Douglas

message from Coach Karl.....     .....extra fitness & chance to earn 50 easy points .......10am SUNDAYS at CSSC....bring the kids!!!    sorry the league table is still not published ....there have been some technical problems with email, etc.....suffice to say that the highest recorded on Sunday was 265...so anyone in double figures still needs to get a wriggle on.....   Please just email/txt your total as at midnight on Sundays and I will produce the league table from there - names and totals.... Spreadsheets must only be submitted at the end for verification...
UMPIRE COURSE The IOM Umpires Association will be running an umpire course in September with the emphasis on getting more women to umpire - so that ultimately they should be able to cover the ladies leagues.....might look good on any up and coming Uni applications too??? Likely dates (yet to be confirmed) are 7th / 14th /21st Sept - Mondays for a couple hours each night - Keith Corkill will be running it. No indication of cost as yet but normally minimal with the club offering support to any member interested. Please register your interest with Tim Leeming (timleeming@manx.net) - who would also be able to answer any questions you may have.
Bacchas Fitness Challenge for June   Facts and figures to be submitted to bacchashc@hotmail.com by midnight tonight - so last day to get some extra sneeky points.....   .....details of July challenge will be circulated at the weekend.
